Why Choose Rationel

Our windows are tested in simulated real life conditions. We open and close those 20,000 times to simulate years of normal wear and tear. We expose them to 770 litres of water at 2 bars of pressure to simulate rain. We test them in high pressure winds equivalent to a hurricane. Then we combine them and test the windows at a wind speed of 27 metres per second and 600 litres of water to simulate storm conditions. Our windows withstand all of these tests.

Home Renovation Incentive Scheme (HRI) - Do you qualify?

Planning a renovation/refurbishment project and you want to change your windows and doors? You might qualify for the Government renovation Incentive Scheme (further referred to as „HRI”). Let us start by explaining what HRI is. This scheme provides for tax relief for homeowners - income tax credit at 13.5% of qualifying expenditure on renovation/repair/refurbishment works carried out by qualifying contractors on the proprietor’s main residence. The tax relief can be claimed on qualifying expenditure over €4,405 and there is no upper limit set. However, the tax credit will be given in relation to a maximum of €30,000.

When you visit our doors and windows area, within our the products’ specification you will notice the use of the terms “double glazed” or “triple glazed” as features. Here we will expand a little further on explaining what these terms actually mean and the benefits of these features for your day to day comfort. Double glazing (double pane) and triple glazing (triple pane) are also known under the more generic name “insulated glazing”.
